Elizabeth Arnaud leads the Crop Ontology project and coordinate the Ontology CoP of CGIAR Big data Platform. She organizes and chairs workshops on semantics for harmonization of phenotypic and agronomic data. In her CGIAR career, Elizabeth coordinated several information networks and platforms on Plant Genetic Resources like the Musa Germplasm Information System (MGIS), the CGIAR System-wide Information System on Genetic Resources (SINGER), the development of the Bioversity geospatial database for collected crop samples. She chaired the Bioversity/GBIF Task Group on GBIF data fitness-for-use by Agrobiodiversity Research. She holds MSc in Biology and a Master in Scientific data management techniques and communication.
